Lay Pastor lead, Circuit Support Team
The Yorkshire North & East Methodist District is seeking to appoint a capable and experienced Methodist Lay Pastor practitioner to join the newly formed Circuit Support Team and work in many of the 15 Circuits of the District in an anticipated two-year assignment.
The role will involve flexibly responding to the needs of individual Circuits as they seek to appoint local pastors as part of the anticipated changing makeup of ministerial staff teams. The work will include full end to end support of the Circuits from the initial help with envisioning, through selection and recruitment, and then ongoing post appointment support and encouragement. The job holder will be joining the small core team of the Circuit Support Team with this assignment and, working with others, contribute positively to initiatives to enable lay empowerment and wider District initiatives in line with the evolving District vision and the needs of the specific circuits.
The hours of work are 6 hours per week at a pay rate of £12.50 per hour. The post has a fixed term of two years and a start date of 1st September 2019. Holiday entitlement is 25 days per annum plus 8 Bank and Public Holiday days (pro rata). There will be a 6-month probationary period. Working from home, some flexibility in working hours and travelling to appointments will also feature.
